Description
MiyahCon provides drinking water services to Lebanese communities and Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
The project improves access to clean and safe water, strengthens the operational and management capacities of the Water Establishments involved (including the North Lebanon Water Establishment) and reduces household supply costs.
Activities
- Expansion of water networks
- Installation of water meter both at user and network levels, to encourage better management at user level and to monitor possible water losses on the distribution networks
- Design and dissemination of community awareness and information campaigns to promote water savings at household level and to promote subscription to water distribution systems operated by Water Establishments
- Capacity building and service management training for Water Establishments.
