Promoters’ Assembly

The Founders’ Assembly meets at least once a year to deliberate, among other matters, on planning, the annual financial statements, and the social report. Every four years, it elects the President, the General Director, and the members of the Board of Directors. The Founders’ Assembly also appoints the Supervisory Body and assigns the role of Statutory Auditor.

The Promoters’ Assembly meets at least once a year to approve CISP’s planning documents and to provide opinions and proposals on CISP’s activities, programmes, and objectives.

The President is the legal representative of CISP, chairs the Board of Directors, and manages relations with public bodies, institutions, companies, and other organizations, also with a view to establishing partnerships and support for CISP initiatives.

The Vice President replaces the President in the event of absence or impediment.

The General Director is the legal representative of CISP, directs and coordinates all CISP activities, and chairs the Executive Committee.

The Board of Directors is responsible, among other functions, for financial and administrative oversight; it approves in advance the planning and budget, supervises the work of the operational structures, appoints their heads, and takes decisions of general importance.

The Supervisory Body, pursuant to Law 117/2017, oversees compliance with the law and the Statute, as well as adherence to principles of sound administration and the adequacy of the organizational, administrative, and accounting structure.

The Executive Committee is composed of the General Director and the heads of the main operational structures, who are responsible for the promotion, planning, and implementation of the relevant activities and projects. The Executive Committee performs general coordination functions, ensures alignment among operational structures, and provides overall guidance on project management.

At CISP’s headquarters in Italy, projects are promoted and coordinated by the Directors of the Geographical Areas: Laura Carraro (Africa); Luigi Grando (Latin America and the Caribbean); Deborah Rezzoagli (MENA – Middle East and North Africa – and Eastern Europe); and Giordana Francia (Italy and the European Union).

To ensure specific standards of operational quality and inter-institutional coordination, CISP establishes local or regional offices abroad in countries where it operates more extensively.

CISP also operates through regional offices in Italy, which serve to strengthen relationships with local communities and institutions.
This governance model ensures a clear distinction between strategic oversight, institutional representation, supervisory control, and operational management.
