Description

The project aims to address the needs of approximately 2000 people (500 families) with international protection needs. The project provides tools to ensure access to rights, stabilisation and local integration through psychosocial support, legal counselling, case management and humanitarian assistance, as well as strengthening emergency livelihoods to generate and improve the capacities of the people served.

At the same time, the project aims to continue supporting 300 persons (90 families) who received aid in the previous year during the first phase of the project, and who benefited from humanitarian assistance, psychosocial support and legal assistance. The aim is to strengthen and consolidate the capacities generated during the first phase of the project and contribute to social integration.

Goals

Overall objective

To provide comprehensive support and assistance with a rights-based approach to 2000 people in need of international protection, to enable their stabilisation and local integration in Arauca, providing support in emergency income generation to 360 people (180 families). 

Specific objectives

  • Improving access to assistance and legal resources
  • Strengthening services for people with special needs
  • Reducing the risk of sexual and gender-based violence and improve the quality of the response

Output and results

  • Refugees with special needs managing to stabilise and integrate into the community
  • Provision of legal assistance
  • People with psychosocial needs obtain services including the distribution of cash for housing, subsistence and accommodation
  • Provision of psychosocial counselling
