Goals

  • Provision of basic necessities (sanitary items, first aid and hot meals) and distribution of information.
  • Strengthening of the existing network of on-site services provided by local associations and the informal network of voluntary citizens serving migrants excluded from the formal and official reception and assistance network.

Activities

  • Outreach and contact with migrants.
  • Purchase and distribution of food and essential items.
  • Provision of hot meals in the cities covered by the intervention.

Output and results

  • Intercepting and supporting people in need during their migration path through Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Laying the groundwork to prevent major emergencies, such as those that occurred in Lipa in winter 2020-2021.
  • Creating functional mechanisms of coordination and collaboration between other national and international actors active in the country.
  • Creating synergies with other ongoing projects and interventions.
  • Supporting the local population in terms of active involvement in aid.
