Description
The project provides technical assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MASA), within the framework of the Rural Development Support Programme in the Provinces of Manica and Sofala (Programa de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Rural nas Províncias de Manica e Sofala – PADR), funded by the Italian Cooperation in collaboration with the Government of Mozambique.
CISP supported the establishment of a Service Centre for micro, small and medium enterprises within the former CEPAGRI (Centro de Promoção da Agricultura), now included in the Agricultural Development Fund (Fundo de Desenvolvimento Agrário – FDA).
The action contributes to increasing income opportunities for the agricultural sector (micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, processors, cooperatives) by providing access to a full range of services for entrepreneurs, facilitating access to credit and strengthening technical support services at the centre and within the District Services for Economic Activities (DSEA).
The intervention covers the provinces of Manica (districts of Barue, Manica, Gondola and Sussundenga) and Sofala (districts of Gorongosa, Nhamatanda, Dondo, Chibabava).
