Description

REBUILD contributes to increased community resilience to drought and other effects of climate change in Tana River County by improving food and nutrition security of vulnerable households, especially for women and children, promoting and supporting sustainable livelihoods and resource protection mechanisms.

The project targets hard-to-reach communities and aims to engage women and youth in particular, as champions of change, promoters of climate smart nutrition practices and healthy hygiene and health behaviours.

REBUILD works on improving the productivity of existing livelihoods, developing nutritionally relevant value chains, protecting community productive resources against climate risks and empowering and strengthening participation in decision-making processes by individuals, community groups and local authorities.
