Description
The project contributes to building climate change resilient communities in the Escalante river basin in the federated states of Táchira, Mérida y Zulia, Venezuela, and aims to strengthen the skills and capacities of civil society organisations in rural communities on the issues of water resource management and integral health promotion.
At the end of the project, rural communities, civil society organisations and local institutions will be trained and sensitised on the conservation of water resources and the promotion of actions to prevent diseases related to poor water quality and infectious origin. At the same time, communities will be provided with the necessary means for access to drinking water, sanitation and integral health.
Goals
Overall objective
To contribute to the construction of healthy communities resilient to climate change in the Escalante river basin, in the states of Táchira, Mérida and Zulia, in Venezuela.
Specific objective
To strengthen the capacities of civil society organisations and local actors and community participation for water resources management and promotion of global health, in rural communities in priority micro-basins of the Escalante River.
