By adopting an approach based on rights, community resilience, and intersectoral coordination, CISP accompanies strategic social and territorial processes. This ensures sustainable impacts in highly vulnerable and fast-changing contexts, establishing the organization as a benchmark technical-operational actor in the country. 

Emergency projects serve as the starting point to address the population’s most pressing needs. By restoring and leveraging the roles of each local stakeholder, these interventions pave the way for long-term development. The goal is to achieve sustainable and transformative impacts through community accompaniment and empowerment, trust-building, and multi-stakeholder partnerships that promote resilience and social cohesion. 

CISP’s action in Venezuela stands out for its capacity to drive synergies among communities, institutions, local authorities, civil society organizations, and international cooperation. This collaborative leadership facilitates durable, scalable, and culturally relevant solutions, seamlessly integrating humanitarian assistance, human development, institutional strengthening, and participatory governance within a coherent, results-oriented framework. 

CISP relies on a highly specialized multidisciplinary team, backed by a network of local, national, and international experts who can be mobilized according to the specific needs of each action. All operations are closely coordinated with the Latin America and the Caribbean Directorate, ensuring institutional consistency, methodological rigor, and technical quality. 

In terms of management, CISP utilizes a Management System aligned with international standards of transparency, accountability, and risk management—including financial risks. The technical and economic administration of projects is handled through the GONG ERP, a platform that guarantees traceability, efficiency, monitoring, and impact evaluation, thereby optimizing decision-making. 

Additionally, the Innovation Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, together with the Venezuela data management team, develops technological tools, monitoring methodologies, and virtual training services. These resources strengthen institutional innovation and optimize operational efficiency, enhancing the value added of CISP’s work both in the region and the country.

Comprehensive Humanitarian Assistance and Protection of Vulnerable Populations

CISP leads multisectoral humanitarian interventions aimed at guaranteeing access to fundamental rights for people in human mobility, displaced persons, host communities, and populations at risk, with a central emphasis on psychosocial support and access to essential services (WASH, Education in Emergencies, Food Security and Livelihoods, Health).

Education, Comprehensive Human Development, and Socio-Emotional Skills

Driven by the conviction that education is a tool for social transformation, CISP develops training processes that strengthen individual and community capacities. It promotes the development of socio-emotional skills as a transformative element to foster comprehensive human development, active participation, trust, and a forward-looking vision, especially for youth.

Sustainable Livelihoods and Economic Development

CISP enhances the economic capacities of vulnerable individuals and communities through actions that promote decent work, local entrepreneurship, and productive sustainability. It strengthens community economic units, trade and marketing networks with the private sector, as well as technical and socio-emotional training programs, using a territorial approach that boosts local economies and increases resilience.

Social Reintegration and Community Cohesion

Rebuilding the social fabric, fostering inter-community dialogue, and creating safe spaces for peaceful coexistence are fundamental pillars of CISP’s work. Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment

CISP mainstreams gender equity across all its interventions, promoting actions that prevent violence, strengthen women’s economic and political autonomy, and ensure their active participation in decision-making processes. This line of work translates into training initiatives, leadership development, female entrepreneurship, and the creation of protective environments.

Social Inclusion and Attention to Diversity

Adopting an intersectional approach, CISP designs interventions that recognize and address the multiple forms of exclusion affecting persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples, women, LGBTIQ+ communities, children and adolescents, older adults, and other historically marginalized groups. Under this approach, inclusive pathways are created to ensure access to rights, services, and the active participation of all these groups in community life.

Comprehensive Risk Management and Sustainable Territorial Management

CISP implements integrated risk management and climate action interventions to address the structural causes of crises that disproportionately affect girls, women, older adults, and LGBTIQ+ populations, while simultaneously contributing to key processes of cohesion and social change. CISP’s strategy in disaster risk management has been pivotal in empowering communities and strengthening institutions to achieve short-, medium-, and long-term transformations that build a risk management culture and increase population resilience to disasters.
